Injurious is an independent feature film shot in Montreal Canada, written and produced by Angel Azmeer and directed and cinematography by Calin Darabut.

It started as a concept for nearly 5 years as Angel and one of his friends were thinking how to tell a visual story.

Some material was shot in 2013 by themselves, having most of the cast played by their close friends.

Calin came onboard eager to direct, freshly after finishing film school in Montreal and were he had casted Angel for one of his school films. 20% of the Production phase was already done and Calin was able to apply his filmmaking knowledge and setup a shooting schedule so that filming would be done for Injurious by 2015.

The unique hand-held style allowed for minimal crew, the main character to also be the main camera operator and the director would usually hold the clapper and take care of the lighting.

The story for Injurious is so unique and would be tweaked and re-written between Angel and Calin, while working their day jobs.

Everything was shot on location in Montreal and special places were chosen to reflect the gritty feel of the story, while not really telling the name of the city. The main language is English and for story-telling purposes French is being spoken as well as Urdu.
